SANTA ROSA. Dedicated to promoting and showcasing the work of Sonoma County's gifted artists, this Santa Rosa-based organization sponsors a rotating repertoire of arts. Included among the cultural offerings are painting and sculpture exhibitions, performances by local musicians, and readings by area writers and poets. ACSC's main gallery, open to the general public, hosts a variety of such events.

SANTA ROSA. Charlie Brown. Snoopy and Woodstock. Linus and Lucy. Pigpen. Legendary cartoonist Charles Schulz's creations come to life at this interpretive museum. Featured displays include a rotating exhibit of more than 100 original "Peanuts" cartoons and a stunning 17' x 22' tiled wall by Japanese artist Yoshiteru Otani that depicts Charlie Brown attempting to kick a football held by Lucy. Amazingly enough, a different "Peanuts" strip is printed on each one of the 3000-plus ceramic tiles Otani used.

YOUNTVILLE. This beautifully conceived facility preserves Napa Valley's rich, eclectic heritage by offering a wide range of cultural programs and showcasing collections that focus on county history, nature, and local artists. Among the center's permanent exhibits are "The Land and People of the Napa Valley" and "California Wine: The Science of Art," an interactive exhibit that chronicles winemaking and the industry's impact on Northern California.

SANTA ROSA. Located in downtown Sonoma's old Federal Post Office, which dates from 1908, this attractive regional museum was established in the mid-1980s in an effort to promote the arts in California's Wine Country. One of the museum's most prized holdings is a collection of works by Christo and Jeanne-Claude, the largest of its kind in North America.

SONOMA. Located in a former furniture store on downtown Sonoma's historic plaza , this museum features rotating exhibits in a variety of media. Visitors to the museum will see such temporary exhibits as Japanese arts and crafts or paintings and sculptures by Mexican and Latin American artists.
